My first bit of news today is that we are participating in the WVIA Television Auction. We have donated a beadwoven bracelet. The piece is on display in the shop, and you can see all the information on their web site here. You can bid online anytime, or you can bid live on Saturday night, between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m.

The second item is that we have added two new workshops to the schedule, with two brand new instructors. We would like to welcome Ellen Kalinosky and here Chain Maille Earring Boot Camp, and Gladys Gerchow and her Convertible Flower Pendant/Pin. Gladys' class is already sold out, however there is a possibility that we may add a second date. Here we go with more ice! We will be closed today, and tonight's Royal Earrings workshop has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, February 20. There are a few open seats, so if anyone is interested in registering, give me a call tomorrow.

The Swarovski Crystal section of our site is now alive and kicking. We have all our crystal online now, which includes a couple of new colors that aren't even on our shelves for our local customers yet. These would be Aquamarine, Aquamarine AB 2x, Black Diamond AB 2X, and Hyacinth.

For our students, I've updated our Workshop Schedule with the first of our April classes. This includes the Super Embellished Bracelet which many of you commented on when Liz brought in the sample.

Special Weather Note: I will be doing my best to get in and open up this afternoon at some point, but 11:30, is not going to happen today. For those of you not in the area, we are in the middle of quite a bit of ice and sleet coming down. Hopefully it will start to warm up soon (it's supposed to) and it will be less treacherous to travel. In the meantime, if you're planning on coming in today, call first (570.714.6700).

We've added another section to our product catalog. The Stringing Supplies area went up today. We've added a number of new products to it that we have had in the store, but have never been available online before, like Griffin Silk, Italian Wire Mesh Ribbon, and some new Beadalon & Accessories products.

Welcome to our new web site! As you can see, the site is a work in progress. In a perfect world, we would not have launched it until everything was completely finished. However Freemerchant, the company that was hosting our shopping cart, decided to shut down with very little notice. As of tomorrow, our shopping cart that was located at beadweaver.safeshopper.com will be gone. The good news is that this situation instigated us getting what is going to be a great new cart with many exciting features. However setting up a cart like this does not happen over night. We are working very hard to get all the products in place. Then we will be setting up the search engine and shopping cart. Right now, we have the basic pages operating, along with all the Workshops, Miyuki Beads, and Czech Glass Beads. When everything is all said and done, we will have over 3,000 of our products available online, so please be patient!
